IHOPU invites students to engage in their Christian walk through prayer and hands-on ministry training within community. We wouldn’t want to do life any other way.

Christian ministry and life are meant to be done with others. IHOPU places all students into ministry teams who engage in training in the power in the Holy Spirit. Teams pray together, minister together, and run after the lord together. They live life together. Everything changes when healing and ministry are birthed in prayer, powered by the Holy Spirit, and celebrated with friends.

Practically, teams pray for healing, prophesy, reach for signs and wonders, and seek the Lord together. Teams also engage in local outreach together. Some of the types of ministry they might engage in is caring for the poor, serving at young mother’s shelter, ministering to children low income neighborhoods, or supporting youth and local church ministries. Our students bring Jesus into at risk, outcast, and marginalized communities. This type of training keeps us alive and engages a vibrant heart: we act and share the good news, see His heart, and partner in the great commission.

IHOPU leadership programs allow students to grow and learn from others. 3rd and 4th year students have opportunities to lead ministry teams and will be coached into Christ-like leadership. Coaches watch over and guide these students to partner with the Lord and each other to continue developing their gifts within community. Their skills and gifts are developed through self-sacrificing, sermon-on-the-mount-hearted leadership. These leaders with burning hearts preach, teach, and guide newer students. Sharing their wisdom and experience assists in creating a safe space for those with less experience to stumble and succeed within an understanding community.
