24/7 Prayer Has a 24/7 Global Classroom

For those who want to study music, ministry, or media from home, IHOPU now offers a Global Classroom Experience. Other online programs offer the ability to do classwork at anytime, but we are doing something entirely new.

We have flipped the classroom.

What is a flipped classroom?

We have flipped the classroom to be available 24/7. Our instructors film their lectures ahead of time, and students come together from all over the globe to join us virtually in real-time during live discussions in Kansas City. No other school on Earth is connecting the online students with the on-campus students for an Integrated Classroom experience. Utilizing Zoom Room technology, our classes are equipped to allow two-directional interactive discussion between the instructor, the on-campus students, and the online students at the same time.

Instead of struggling to retain an overwhelming quantity of information for long lectures, students watch short pre-filmed videos at their convenience before their live class. Live classes are now focused on interactive instructor-guided discussions, engaging activities, and group projects.

Live Lecture & Skill Based Courses

Most of our live lecture courses are scheduled on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting at 10am, 1pm, and 3pm CT. Skill-based courses that are a part of the Forerunner School of Worship (FSW) or the Forerunner Media Institute (FMI) usually occur on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Friday mornings. A complete course-list of the skill-based courses that are available online can be found on our website (coming soon).

Engage from wherever you are

We are passionate about our online students being connected with what’s happening here in Kansas City. However, since we are engaging with students who live in various time zones around the globe, we make special accommodations for those who live in time zones that joining live is not possible because of their sleep schedule. We record all of our live discussions and make them available usually within 24 hours. The rest of the course includes accessing the teaching videos, reading assignments, online forum discussions, and other interactive assignments.

A Day in the Life of a Student: Online students do not miss out on the quality or content of our training programs while they engage with us from home. Studying from wherever you are located is no less rigorous than attending classes in Kansas City. Students will engage from home with each other roughly 12 hours a week in live virtual classes, scheduled virtual group discussions, and enjoy the flexibility of choosing their own virtual prayer room hours and study time. Students can expect to spend around 30–33 hours a week in our learning environments not including practice or homework.
