1. The priority application deadline is March 15, 2019. The final application deadline is May 1, 2019.
2. IHOPU Admissions will contact you when your application has been received, for any remaining application items and to arrange a phone or Skype interview.
3. Acceptance decisions will be announced May 1, 2019.
4. Students accepted to IHOPU NightWatch must submit an enrollment deposit of $250 by May 15, 2019, and an additional $250 by June 1, 2019, in order to secure their place in the program. Both deposits count toward the total program cost ($1,000) students are asked to pay. The remaining $500 will be due in January 2020.
5. Applicants are not accepted to any program at IHOPU until they have received an official acceptance notification from IHOPU Admissions.

International applicants: Although IHOPU NightWatch is not currently open to international applicants, we would welcome you to apply to one of our other programs. Does this count toward the Schools?

Yes, IHOPU Nightwatch is equivalent in credits to the first year of either our Forerunner School of Ministry or Forerunner Music Academy. Students who would like to continue their studies after the first year will have the opportunity to do so.

Can Internationals participate?

Unfortunately, we are not able to accept international applications to IHOPU Nightwatch at this time. For internationals interested in applying to IHOPU Nightwatch in the future, please contact us early in 2020.

How do I apply?

Do I apply for the scholarship separately?

No, there is not a separate application process for the IHOPU Nightwatch scholarship. Once your application has been submitted, you will receive a short addendum, to be completed as part of the application process, that will allow you to be considered for the scholarship.

If my spouse and I are both interested in applying, should we fill out one application together, or each complete our own application?

Each applicant, even married couples, must complete their own application, including submission of a pastoral and personal recommendation (form included in application).

How much will I be asked to pay towards the program?

$1,000 for the duration of the program. Students will be asked to pay $250 by May 1st, $250 by June 1st and $500 in January 2020.

What is the difference between this program and Fire in the Night?

Fire in the Night is a 3- to 6-month internship. IHOPU NightWatch is an 11-month commitment. For those unable to commit to 11 months of training, we encourage you to apply to Fire in the Night, while understanding that the scholarship is only available to IHOPU NightWatch (11-month) students.

Are there scholarships available to Fire in the Night applicants or those applying to other internships?

Not at this time.

Are scholarships available to students applying to the Forerunner School of Ministry, Forerunner Music Academy or Forerunner Media Institute?

Yes, scholarships are available to students on a need-based basis. Once an applicant has completed the regular application process for one of the programs listed above and has been accepted, he or she may apply for a scholarship.

If I have already completed a program at IHOPU (school or internship) or am currently enrolled, am I eligible to apply to IHOPU Nightwatch?

Because IHOPU NightWatch will cover the curriculum of our first two semesters, which would be repetitive to those who have already completed a program (or a portion of a program) with IHOPU, current and former students and interns are not eligible to apply. However, if you are a current student and are interested in switching your prayer room hours to the NightWatch, please contact your program director; we would welcome your inquiry.

Are food and housing provided?

Yes, food and housing are provided for the duration of the program.

Is there an age limit?

No.

What if I am married or have children?

We welcome applications from those with families. Please note your specific circumstances on your application and we will be glad to talk with you personally during the review stage of the application process. /If accepted to the program, married students and/or those with children will be responsible for securing their own housing. In that case, the student’s housing costs will be subsidized by the scholarship award, but meals will not be covered.

What are the basic requirements to qualify?

We are looking for students who will take seriously the commitment to stand before the Lord throughout the watches of the night while fully engaging an an academic course load with excellence. No further prerequisites apply; applicants will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

How academically Involved will this be?

Although students will engage in classroom instruction as well as hands-on training throughout the program, the first phase (June–December 2019) will focus more heavily on time in the prayer room and integration into the NightWatch community, whereas during the second phase (January–May 2020) students will undergo a full academic course load in addition engagement in the prayer room.

What are the dates?

IHOPU NightWatch will begin June 18, 2019 and end mid-May 2020.

What will the schedule be like?

Students will wake up around 3pm in the afternoon, have classroom, small group and free time throughout the afternoon and evening, and engage in the prayer room from midnight to 6am. At 6am, students will go to sleep until 3pm that afternoon.
